Amanzim Trading (Pty) Ltd t/a Security Centre
Registration No. 2017/132075/07
Last updated: 31 August 2026

These Terms of Service govern your use of the Security Centre online store at shop.securitycenter.co.za and purchases made through the website.

By using our website or placing an order, you agree to these terms. Nothing in these terms is intended to exclude or limit any rights afforded to consumers under applicable South African law.

1. About Security Centre

The online store is operated by:

Amanzim Trading (Pty) Ltd t/a Security Centre
Registration No. 2017/132075/07
Shop 1, Hillcrest Shopping Centre
38–42 Old Main Road
Hillcrest, KwaZulu-Natal
South Africa

Security Centre supplies security, alarm, CCTV, access-control, automation and related electronic products, components and accessories.

2. Products and Product Information

We take reasonable care to ensure that product descriptions, specifications, photographs and other information displayed on our website are accurate.

Product images may occasionally be illustrative, and packaging, appearance or minor specifications may change where manufacturers update their products.

Customers are responsible for ensuring that a product is suitable and compatible with their intended application before purchasing it.

Security and electronic products often have specific compatibility, programming, power-supply and installation requirements. If you are uncertain whether a product will work with your existing equipment, please contact Security Centre before placing your order.

3. Professional Installation

Certain security and automation products should be installed or configured by a suitably qualified or experienced technician.

Unless installation has specifically been purchased or agreed to separately, the sale of a product does not include installation, programming or configuration.

Security Centre cannot accept responsibility for damage caused by incorrect installation, wiring, configuration, programming, power supply, modification or use contrary to the manufacturer's instructions.

Nothing in this clause limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

4. Pricing

All prices displayed on the online store are quoted in South African Rand (ZAR).

Any applicable delivery charges will be displayed or communicated before the order is completed.

We make reasonable efforts to ensure that prices are accurate. If an obvious pricing or system error occurs, we reserve the right to correct the error.

Where an order has been placed at an obviously incorrect price, we will contact the customer before fulfilling the order. If payment has already been made and the order cannot reasonably be fulfilled at the erroneous price, the amount paid will be refunded.

5. Stock Availability

Products displayed on our website are subject to availability.

Although we endeavour to keep stock information accurate, stock levels can change and an item shown as available may occasionally become unavailable before an order is processed.

If we are unable to supply an ordered product, we will contact the customer and may offer:

  • an alternative product;

  • a revised expected availability date; or

  • a refund for the unavailable product.

We will not substitute a materially different product without the customer's agreement.

6. Orders

Submitting an order through the website constitutes an offer to purchase the selected products.

An automated order confirmation acknowledges receipt of the order but does not necessarily mean that the order has been finally accepted or dispatched.

We reserve the right to decline or cancel an order where reasonably necessary, including where:

  • payment cannot be verified;

  • stock is unavailable;

  • an obvious pricing or product-information error has occurred;

  • we reasonably suspect fraud or unauthorised payment; or

  • fulfilment of the order would be unlawful.

Where an order that has already been paid for is cancelled by Security Centre, the applicable amount will be refunded.

7. Payment

Payment must be made using one of the payment methods offered during checkout.

Online payments may be processed by Peach Payments or another authorised payment service provider.

Payment information is transmitted and processed using the systems of the applicable payment provider. Security Centre does not ordinarily store customers' complete debit or credit card details.

An order will generally only be processed for fulfilment once payment has been successfully authorised or received.

Additional authentication, including 3D Secure, may be required by the customer's bank or payment provider.

8. Fraud Prevention

Security Centre and its payment providers may take reasonable steps to verify transactions and protect customers and the business against fraudulent or unauthorised transactions.

We may request additional verification before fulfilling an order where a transaction is reasonably considered unusual or potentially fraudulent.

We reserve the right to withhold dispatch while reasonable verification takes place.

9. Delivery

Security Centre offers delivery to destinations within South Africa.

Delivery times provided by Security Centre are estimates unless expressly agreed otherwise.

Delivery may be affected by courier delays, public holidays, remote-area delivery schedules, stock availability and circumstances outside our reasonable control.

Customers are responsible for providing complete and accurate delivery information.

Our full delivery terms are contained in our Shipping & Delivery Policy, which forms part of these Terms of Service.

10. In-Store Collection

Where offered during checkout, customers may elect to collect their order from a Security Centre store or other designated collection point.

Customers should wait until they have been advised that the order is ready before travelling to collect it.

Proof of order and appropriate identification may be requested before goods are released.

11. Returns, Refunds and Exchanges

Returns, refunds and exchanges are governed by our Returns, Refunds & Exchanges Policy, which forms part of these Terms of Service.

For ordinary change-of-mind returns, products must meet the conditions set out in that policy, including the applicable notification period and requirements regarding unused, uninstalled and unaltered products.

Products that have been installed, wired, programmed, paired, configured or used cannot ordinarily be returned merely because the customer subsequently decides that the product is unsuitable or would prefer a different product.

This does not limit a customer's statutory rights relating to defective, unsafe or incorrectly supplied goods.

12. Defective Products and Warranties

Products may be covered by manufacturer or distributor warranties in addition to rights available under South African consumer law.

Where a product is alleged to be defective, it may need to be inspected or tested to establish the nature and cause of the fault.

Security Centre will honour the remedies available to consumers where required under applicable law.

Damage resulting from causes such as incorrect installation, misuse, incorrect wiring, unsuitable power supplies, power surges, unauthorised modification, physical damage or use contrary to manufacturer specifications may not constitute an inherent product defect.

13. Special Orders and Customised Products

Some products may be specially sourced, cut, configured or prepared specifically for a customer's requirements.

This may include cable or other materials cut to a requested length and equipment specially configured or programmed for the customer.

The ability to cancel or return these products may be restricted where permitted by law.

This does not affect rights relating to defective or incorrectly supplied products.

14. Website Accounts

Where customers create an account on our website, they are responsible for keeping their login details confidential and for activities performed through their account.

Please notify Security Centre if you believe that your account has been accessed without authorisation.

15. Acceptable Use of Our Website

You may not use our website:

  • for unlawful or fraudulent purposes;

  • to interfere with the operation or security of the website;

  • to attempt unauthorised access to our systems;

  • to transmit malicious software or code;

  • to collect information about other users without lawful authority; or

  • in a manner that infringes the rights of Security Centre or another person.

16. Intellectual Property

Unless otherwise indicated, the content of the Security Centre website, including its branding, written content, graphics, layout and original website material, belongs to Security Centre or is used with permission.

Manufacturer names, product names, trademarks, photographs and other intellectual property remain the property of their respective owners.

Website content may not be copied, reproduced or commercially exploited without the appropriate permission.

17. Third-Party Services and Links

Our website may integrate with or link to third-party services including payment providers, courier services, manufacturers and other external websites.

Security Centre is not responsible for the independent content, availability or privacy practices of third-party websites.

Use of third-party services may also be subject to their own terms and policies.

18. Privacy

Personal information is processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable South African privacy legislation, including the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA).

19. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by law, Security Centre will not be liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from the use of the website or products supplied by us where such loss was not caused by a breach for which Security Centre is legally responsible.

Customers remain responsible for the appropriate selection, installation and use of security products.

Security equipment is intended to assist in reducing and managing security risks. No alarm, CCTV, access-control, automation or related security product can guarantee that burglary, theft, damage, injury or other security incidents will not occur.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be prohibited by applicable South African law.

20. Changes to These Terms

Security Centre may update these Terms of Service from time to time to reflect changes to our website, products, services, business practices or applicable law.

The version published on the website at the time of a transaction will generally apply to that transaction, subject to applicable law.

21. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.

Nothing in these Terms prevents a consumer from exercising any right or remedy available under applicable consumer protection legislation.
